Daim and I helped Anwar campaign but he wants to investigate me, says Dr M

PUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says that he campaigned for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in the 14th General Election, but now he is being investigated.

"When he was contesting, I actually campaigned for him, and so did Tun Daim Zainuddin.

Both of us campaigned for him, and now he wants to investigate me for wrongdoings," he told a press conference at the Perdana Leadership Foundation on Monday (Jan 22).

Dr Mahathir also rejected the notion that it is hard for authorities to investigate those with the "Tun" title, adding that he was prepared to be investigated.

"I am easy. You can investigate me anytime. You have the power. You can probe me," he said.
