Workers hurt in roof collapse at commercial centre in Seremban


SEREMBAN: Five workers installing solar panels at a building at the Oakland Commercial Centre here were slightly injured after its roof collapsed on Friday (Jan 19).

Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Harzizi Hashim said they received an emergency call at 1.05 pm.

"The roof measuring 6m x 30m (20ft x 100ft) collapsed while solar panels were being installed at the premises.

"The five men were sent to Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar here for treatment," he said in a statement.

He said the department then inspected the area to ensure it was safe, and the case had been handed over to police for further action. – Bernama
