Security guard nabbed for molesting, raping young stepdaughters

MELAKA: A security guard who sexually assaulted his young stepdaughters over five years, before escalating to raping them late last year, has been arrested.

Melaka deputy police chief Senior Asst Comm Md Nazri Nawawi said the suspect had victimised the sisters, now aged 13 and 15, since they were in primary school.

He said the suspect began molesting the sisters when their 39-year-old mother was running her burger stall in Tanjong Kling here.

SAC Md Nazri said the victims then revealed their ordeal to their mother when she was at home on Tuesday (Jan 9).

"The girls told her that their stepfather started molesting them when they were in primary school and raped them between the end of last year up to Jan 2," he said on Wednesday (Jan 10).

SAC Md Nazri said the older girl was raped four times and her younger sister, once; however, they hid their ordeal from their mother for years as they were afraid.

"The couple got married seven years ago," he added.

The suspect was detained at his workplace on Tuesday (Jan 9) and remanded until next Tuesday (Jan 16) to help with investigations under Section 376 (3) of the Penal Code for rape.
