Treating women as a tool to address social problems is demeaning, says Nancy


PUTRAJAYA: Any proposal treating ladies as a 'tool' to address social problems is seen as demeaning to women, says Women, Family, and Community Development (KPWKM) Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said.

"Suggestions or jokes that are not sensitive to women cannot be normalised, especially when they contradict various aspects, whether from a legal, family values, cultural, or religious perspective," she said in a statement on Tuesday (Jan 9), referring to a recent podcast.
