Police record 12 statements over acid attack on teenager


SHAH ALAM: Twelve statements have been recorded in the ongoing police investigation into an acid attack on a 19-year-old clinic staff.

The motive of the attack is still being proved.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed the matter when contacted.

According to the victim's father Azman Shah Mohammad, his daughter Nadia Fasha Qistina had been attacked with acid in Denai Alam here on Nov 8.

In an interview with Sinar Harian, he said Nadia was walking home from her workplace when the incident took place.

She had only worked at a clinic for six days, he said.

He said a man posing as an e-hailing driver had splashed acid on his daughter before fleeing the scene.
