KLANG: Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari’s press secretary Jay Jay Dennis will be charged in court over a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) last year.
Dennis confirmed that he is scheduled to be charged on Thursday (Dec 14).
“It will be at the Alor Gajah Court. I was informed to be present there by a DSP (Deputy Supt) from the Alor Gajah district police headquarters who is the investigating officer for this case.
“He was also the one who recorded my statement when they arrested me," said Dennis, 30.
He is expected to be charged under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code for allegedly making statements conducive to public mischief.
Dennis was arrested last year after he had posted on social media platform X, about a traffic convoy he had witnessed.
He had posted a video and tweeted about the incident on the Sprint Highway last year.
A police report had apparently been lodged against him over his post last year.
