Registration for ewallet credit begins next week

KUALA LUMPUR: Registration and claims for eMadani, the one-off ewallet credit of RM100, will open from next Monday right up to Feb 20 next year, says the Prime Minister.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also the Finance Minister, said the eMadani initiative would benefit 10 million eligible adult Malaysians.

He said this would involve an allocation of RM1bil.

Anwar said this during the tabling of the Supply Bill 2024 for its second reading at the Dewan Negara yesterday, Bernama reported.

The RM100 ewallet credit – which is offered to Malaysians aged 21 and above within the B40 and M40 groups – was announced by Anwar in a speech during the launch of the “Madani Economy: Empowering the People” framework on July 27.
