The price of a rocking bod for singer at 62

HONG Kong superstar Andy Lau (pic) revealed that the secret to his amazing figure at 62 years of age was his impeccable diet, reported China Press.

In a recent interview, Lau said he was very particular about the food he consumes. For breakfast, he only eats oatmeal and yoghurt, for example.

“It is not tasty, but I have endured this for 30 years... and it is unlikely I will change it,” he said.

For lunch, Lau said he consumed protein-rich food such as chicken breast, while for dinner, it was mostly vegetables.

Asked if he ever got bored of the same food, he replied: “How could I not?

But each time, I would look at my abs and I get motivated again.”

Many of Lau’s friends are aware of his regimented diet and gym work.

Director Wong Jing, who has collaborated with the actor, said Lau was extremely disciplined about his health.

“His lifestyle habits are not what an ordinary person could endure,” he added.

Lau is reported to be one of Hong Kong’s most commercially successful film actors since the mid-1980s, having performed in more than 160 films while maintaining a successful singing career at the same time.

> Taiwanese actor Darren Wang has been spotted with a slew of different women after his speculated break-up with Malaysian actress Joey Chua earlier this year, reported Sin Chew Daily.

In September, the 32-year-old was seen travelling with TV host Mu Xuan in Hualien, Taiwan, and the two were also later seen at a party in Singapore.

Wang was also photographed with another woman in Taipei recently. He was seen getting into an Uber ride with his partner, who was holding a Hermes handbag.

Realising that he was being followed by paparazzi, he got the Uber driver to circle around Taipei before stopping and alighting in front of one of his friend’s houses.

The identity of his new female partner has yet to be ascertained.

It was earlier reported that Darren and Chua unfollowed each other on Instagram in May.

Chua posted cryptic messages on Instagram, saying: “Many things have happened, and I have gone through a lot since May 20. Whatever that happened to me was special and inconceivable.”

The two were quite close before that, with Wang said to have visited Chua’s family during Chinese New Year this year.

He was also reported to have brought Chua to meet his family in Taiwan.

In September last year, Wang stunned fans by preparing bah kut teh – a Malaysian delicacy – and serving it to his colleagues on a Chinese reality TV show, with many of his fans suspecting that he learnt the recipe from Chua.

The two got to know each other in early 2021 on A Journey for Love, a Chinese reality show.
