KL cops investigating scuffle between delivery rider and security guard


KUALA LUMPUR: The police are investigating an incident where a scuffle took place between a delivery rider and a security guard at a building at Lingkaran TRX here.

According to a Facebook post about the incident that has since gone viral, the incident was sparked off by a misunderstanding between the duo.

It is believed that the rider was denied entry into the premises who insisted on going in.

The rider is said to have scolded the guard who then called for help from his colleague.

A physical altercation then ensued between the rider and the guard.

When contacted, Dang Wangi Deputy OCPD Supt Nazron Abd Yusof said that they had opened an investigation under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

"We have identified a witness and have called the person to record a statement," he said.
