Cops investigate man who slapped ex-girlfriend during quarrel


GOMBAK: The police are investigating a viral video which showed a man slapping his ex-girlfriend's face in a car.

Acting Gombak OCPD Supt Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said the 21-year-old woman lodged a police report claiming that she was slapped by her 22-year-old ex-boyfriend on Monday (Oct 16) due to a misunderstanding.

"We are investigating the case under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

"We urge those who know the suspect or information on the incident to contact investigating officer Insp Nor Adiba Mohamad Nordin at 012-8819215 or Gombak police headquarters at 03-61262222," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Oct 18).
