PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was greeted with a roaring welcome during a recent visit to i-City, from the ultrapolis’ inhabitants of diverse backgrounds. The enthusiastic reception embodied the spirit of Malaysia Madani, symbolising not only its commitment to creating an inclusive destination rich in diversity but also demonstrating Malaysia’s strength through unity and its connection to the One Shah Alam One Destination programme.

At the inception of i-City, Anwar graced the aerospace showcase in 1995. As acting prime minister in 1997, he launched i-City – Malaysia No. 1 Technology City – and ignited the spark of transformation that would define the future.

In 2018, he returned to inaugurate CityWalk, the vibrant heart of i-City.

Today, under the glow of the City of Digital Lights lightscape in i-City, and with the backdrop of Shah Alam’s first and only five-star DoubleTree by Hilton i-City, he witnessed how far i-City had come.

One Shah Alam One Destination is about showcasing the best of Shah Alam in one destination, featuring captivating light displays, immersive activities and community engagement.

Already renowned for its City of Digital Lights, i-City is set to elevate its attractions by introducing a five-dimension Immersive Winterland and a 50,000 sq ft indoor Digital Sports Arena.

The One Shah Alam One Destination holiday fiesta is scheduled to start from November 2023 to January 2024, offering a diverse range of community engagement activities collaborating with brand partners, corporate associates and the community.

It will host a series of events to engage both local communities and visitors, creating a holistic and immersive experience that cements Shah Alam’s status as a must-visit destination.

Wyndham Suites KLCC is the first Wyndham in the KLCC vicinity.

The strategic partnership aims to offer luxury living and the prestige of staying and owning a piece of the Wyndham legacy, which is often associated with five-star experiences and exceptional services.
