KUALA LUMPUR: The government will continue to enhance the efficiency of public service by further reviewing and streamlining the structure and functions of ministries and agencies as one of the Big Bold initiatives of governance and institutional framework to reduce overlapping and to clearly define functions of agencies in the public sector.
According to the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) Mid-Term Review (MTR) released by the Economy Ministry on Monday (Sept 11), the said overlapping of definitions is one of the ongoing issues and challenges faced by the government.
