Lorry driver detained for house break-ins


AMPANG: A 41-year-old lorry driver, believed to be a gang member, was detained for allegedly breaking into a house in Taman Dagang Permai here and carting away four luxury handbags.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said a 27-year-old trader realised that his house was broken into when he saw that his kitchen's window was opened, with its bars bent at about 5.50am on Wednesday (Sept 6).
