Teenager dies in fall from 12th floor of Setapak condo


KUALA LUMPUR: A teenager died after falling from the 12th floor of a condominium in Setapak here.

Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah said in a statement that police were notified of the incident at 8.20pm on Tuesday (Aug 29).

"At the scene the police found the body of the victim, a 14-year-old foreigner, on the ground of Block B (of the condominium). The victim suffered injuries to the head and was pronounced dead by paramedics at 8.40pm.

"She had been in Malaysia for eight years and was living with her mother and sister whereas her father was currently in Bangladesh," he added.

The investigation has found that the victim fell from a balcony and there were no signs of foul play.

The case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report.
