A KINDERGARTEN in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, entered the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) after its pupils and staff created a giant replica of the Jalur Gemilang using egg trays, Harian Metro reported.
The 23m x 8.5m Jalur Gemilang took about three weeks to complete.
Tadika Mega Genius principal R. Mohanambal said a total of 2,128 egg trays were used, which were donated by the families of the pupils, while the staff provided materials for colouring.
He added 86 students, aided by teachers and parents, helped to colour the egg trays.
He said the kindergarten in Nusantara Prima, Gelang Patah, has always celebrated National Day in its own unique way.
MBOR office manager Lee Pooi Leng presented the certificate to the school, which was witnessed by Kemelah state assemblyman N. Saraswati.

Mohamad Yusri Kamaruddin, 40, and his son Mohamad Syabil Wafiy, 18, are both attending classes for their diploma in communication electronics engineering at Seberang Perai Polytechnic (PSP), reported Sinar Harian.
Mohamad Yusri is now in his fifth semester, while his son just registered as a student at the same polytechnic on Tuesday.
Previously, the father of five had attended a catering course at the Johor Baru Polytechnic in 2001 before becoming a professional footballer with several state teams.
He then joined the civil service before obtaining a scholarship to study full time.
