IPOH: The Customs Department has confiscated some 1.8 million contraband cigarettes with close to RM1.3mil in unpaid duties during separate raids in Sungkai, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
Perak Customs director Datuk Abdul Ghafar Mohamad said acting on information and intelligence gathered over the past two months, enforcement officers arrested a 40-year-old man at a roadblock after the Sungkai exit of the North-South Expressway (NSE) at about 8.15am on July 27.
