State polls: Talk of seat swaps rife as Selangor PKR candidates wait for endorsement letters

KLANG: The PKR grapevine is abuzz with chatter after its Selangor candidates for the upcoming state polls were contacted and instructed to receive their endorsement letters later this evening (July 22).

Talk going around currently is that Seri Setia assemblyman Halimey Abu Bakar and Kota Damansara assemblyman Shatiri Mansor may be dropped.

A source also said Kuala Selangor division chief Thiban Subramaniam will probably contest in either Ijok or Bukit Melawati.

Ijok incumbent Dr Idris Ahmad will not be defending his seat as the two-term assemblyman is said to be retiring from politics.

If Thiban has been selected for Bukit Melawati, it would mean that its incumbent Juwairiya Zulkifli is being moved to another constituency, which could even be Bukit Antarabangsa.

Port Klang incumbent Azmizam Zaman Huri, according to sources, will defend his seat but there's also a chance that he may be sent to Sungai Kandis.

If this happens, it is uncertain where Sungai Kandis incumbent Zawawi Mughni will be sent to.
