Ng to defend seat in Sekinchan, says Loke

SEKINCHAN: Incumbent Sekinchan assemblyman Ng Suee Lim will defend his seat in the impending Selangor state election, announced DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke.

Loke made the announcement at the Sekinchan DAP's fundraising event on Saturday (July 15) evening.

"He will be defending the seat for the fifth consecutive term."

Loke said Ng has done a lot to develop Sekinchan over the years that he has been the assemblyman.

"Suee Lim has done a lot for Sekinchan, making it a vibrant rice bowl and an attractive tourist attraction in Selangor throughout the years.

"He is synonymous with Sekinchan and we are proud to have him defend the state seat in the upcoming state election," he said

According to Loke it was known that Perikatan Nasional was attempting to use Selangor to challenge the Unity Government and destabilise the Federal Government.

Loke added the Unity Government would see that Perikatan did not make any headway.

"We will unite and strive to ensure that this country will remain inclusive for the nation's multi-racial government.

"So please make sure that you vote for Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional candidates," said Loke.

He added both Pakatan and Barisan leaders were united and together for the sake of the nation's stability.

Loke said Ng has played many roles such as Opposition assemblyman, state government assemblyman and state legislative assembly Speaker.

"There is only one role that he has not played and if the Unity Government wins in Selangor, the DAP will suggest for him to be appointed as an executive councillor," said Loke.

Others at the event were Bandar Baru Klang incumbent assemblyman Datuk Teng Chang Khim, Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin and Sungai Besar Umno chief Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos.

It is believed the DAP would defend all 16 seats it won in the 2018 general election.
