Dr M and Muhyiddin will continue to collude, says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he is not surprised that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had met with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The Prime Minister, who is the Pakatan Harapan chairman, said the matter was not something new to him.

"We know that the group will continue to collude to defend their ways and wealth.

"But we will continue to defend the country and the people," he told reporters after officiating the EPF's International Social Wellbeing Conference 2023 on Thursday (July 6).

On Wednesday, the two former premiers met to discuss the position and future of the Malays.

Muhyiddin said that both leaders agreed to strengthen unity among the Malays and to boost support for Perikatan in the upcoming state elections.

The state elections in Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Penang, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan will be held on Aug 12, with early polling on Aug 8. Nomination day is on July 29.
