Covid-19: Isolation period reduced to five days from July 5, says Health Minister

PETALING JAYA: Effective July 5, the isolation period for Covid-19 patients will be reduced from seven to five days from the onset of symptoms, says Dr Zaliha Mustafa (pic).

The Health Minister also said that those who tested positive for Covid-19 would be required to wear facemasks at health facilities.

"Face masks are also highly encouraged for high-risk individuals such as senior citizens, those with low immunity and chronic diseases and expectant mothers in crowded areas," she said in a statement Thursday (June 29).
