Lorry driver, attendant killed in crash in Negri Sembilan

SEREMBAN: A lorry driver in his 50s and his attendant were killed in an accident along Jalan Seremban-Kuala Klawang near Bukit Tangga.

Jelebu OCPD Dep Supt Maslan Udin said both were heading towards Kuala Klawang from Seremban when the incident happened around 5pm on Friday (June 16).

Another attendant survived the crash.

"The driver was heading downhill when he lost control of the vehicle. The brakes of the lorry which was not loaded, may have malfunctioned causing the driver to lose control," he said in a statement.

Both attendants were Bangladeshis.

DSP Maslan said the attendant who survived was rushed to the Jelebu Hospital for treatment and added that the case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
