Capital Markets and Services bill withdrawn


KUALA LUMPUR: The Finance Ministry has withdrawn the Capital Markets and Services (Amendment) Bill 2023 from being tabled.

“I request to withdraw the DR 24/2023 the Capital Markets and Services (Amendment) Bill 2023 which was listed as number four in Wednesday (June 14)’s Order Paper,” Deputy Finance Minister Steven Sim said while withdrawing the Bill.

The Bill was slated for its first reading.

It is unclear why the Bill was withdrawn.
