Actor Eizlan Yusof joins PAS, says Takiyuddin

PETALING JAYA: Actor and director Datuk Seri Eizlan Yusof (pic, left) has joined PAS, says party secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

He said that Eizlan was one of several figures, adding that the others would be announced in due time.

Speaking to the media after the "Ceramah Perdana Gelombang Kebangkitan Rakyat" in Seremban on Saturday (June 10), Takiyuddin added that PAS has been receiving between 3,500 and 4,000 new members every month.

"Today (Saturday) alone, there are more than 3,000 new members including Tan Sri Annuar Musa's group and we believe there will be more, even at the state level," he said.

He added that PAS was also not against considering fielding Annuar as a candidate in the upcoming state election.

"That's something we can think about. We'll see, because Annuar didn't give any conditions.

"He (Annuar) joined PAS to fight without any conditions. We will discuss the issue of nomination and as a PAS member, he deserves to be nominated and given a role as a PAS candidate," he said.
