Two men charged with raping 14-year-old girl in Johor


MUAR: A 14-year-old girl has been allegedly raped by two men in Parit Jawa here.

Muar OCPD Asst Comm Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the teenager knew one of the suspects while the other man was the suspect’s friend.

“The men were said to have raped the teenage girl in two separate locations on May 30 and May 31.

“Both suspects, aged 21, were brought to court on Thursday (June 8) where they were charged under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years and caning upon conviction.

“Both men pleaded not guilty and claimed trial to the charge. The court set Aug 2 for next mention,” he said on Friday (June 9).

ACP Raiz Mukhliz reminded the public to keep track of their children’s activities and acquaintances to prevent unwanted incidents from happening, especially those involving sexual crimes.
