KTMB: Extra ELA train tickets for Aidiladha to go on sale from 8pm tonight

KUALA LUMPUR: Tickets for the additional Ekspress Lambaian Aidiladha (ELA) train service to the east coast will go on sale from 8pm tonight (June 9).

The special service, carried out in conjunction with the Aidiladha celebration, aims to give the opportunity to those who could not purchase the tickets before.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) said the additional two ELA trains, with a total of 952 tickets including sleeping berth coach, premier seat coach, superior seat coach, buffet coach and chillax coach, were introduced due to the high demand.

The extra train journeys are scheduled on June 27.

For the KL Sentral to Tumpat route, the train will depart at 11pm and arrive at 3.53pm the next day, while the Tumpat to KL Sentral journey departs at 6pm and arrives at 9.32am the following day.

The ELA train will stop at 17 stations including Bandar Tasik Selatan, Kajang, Seremban, Pulau Sebang, Gemas, Bahau, Mentakab, Jerantut, Kuala Lipis, Gua Musang, Dabong, Kuala Kral, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas and Wakaf Bharu, KTMB said in a statement.

Tickets are priced from RM55 to RM83 for a one-way trip.

KTMB users are advised to purchase the tickets through KTMB Mobile (KITS) application or its website www.ktmb.com.my.
