Two killed, two in critical condition in 4WD crash


SIBU: Two people were killed and two others were in critical condition after their four-wheel drive vehicle was involved in an accident at Jalan Berayang, Saratok on Friday (June 2).

The deceased have been identified as Voon Kuet Pin, 55, and a woman, Wong Hung Ling, 41.

The injured were two males aged 15 and 33, who had been sent to Saratok Hospital.

The state Fire and Rescue Department said its Saratok station received a distress call at 4.06pm about the accident.

"The four victims were thrown out of the vehicle when it went out of control and overturned in a roadside drain," it said.

The deceased, it said, died on the spot.
