Shop lot in Subang damaged in fire


PETALING JAYA: A double-storey shop lot was partially destroyed in an early morning fire at SS14, Subang Jaya.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said the incident occurred at 4.06am on Monday (May 29).

"We received a distress call and sent a fire engine and utility truck from the Subang Jaya Fire Station along with several firemen to the scene.

"When they arrived at Jalan SS14/2A, SS14, Subang Jaya they found that the shop lot unit had caught fire," he said when contacted on Monday.

He said they immediately began operations to put out the fire which had already spread to both floors of the unit.

"We managed to control the fire by 4.38am before putting it out completely.

"No one was injured in the incident," he said.
