Sungai Masai drowning: Body of second victim found three hours later


JOHOR BARU: The body of a teen who went missing after falling into Sungai Masai near the Seri Intan Flats in Bandar Seri Alam here was found on Saturday (May 20) morning.

Pasir Gudang Fire and Rescue operations commander Sarhan Akmal Mohamad told Sinar Harian that the victim, Zahir Ajmal Mohd Idris, 13, was found at 7.38am Saturday.

He was the second victim in the incident, with the body of 11-year-old Mohd Danish Ahmad being found at 4.28am Saturday.

"The second victim was found about 50m from the site where they were reported to have gone missing," Sarhan Akmal told Sinar Harian.

He added that the bodies have been handed over to the police for further action and the operation ended at 8.33am.
