Sandakan welfare dept seeking four-year-old boy's mother, next of kin

KOTA KINABALU: The Sandakan Social Welfare Department is currently searching for the biological mother or the next of kin of a four-year-old boy.

The child, Muhammad Sharif Abdullah who was born on Feb 4, 2019, was handed over to the Pusat Jagaan Anak-anak Yatim-Miskin Rumah Al-Yakin Sandakan on April 11 this year by a caregiver named Hatina, who said she was no longer able to care for the boy and was returning to her hometown.
