Duo escapes death sentence on lesser charge

IPOH: Two men escaped the death sentence after they pleaded guilty to an alternative charge of killing a man three years ago.

Muhammad Iman Divaharan Abdullah, 44, and G. S. Suria Sekaran, 27, were instead sentenced to five years in jail for unintentionally causing the death of Ling Hua Chai, 47.
