Sibu OCPD, Asst Comm Zulkipli Suhaili said the two suspects, aged 34 and 67, were detained by Region 5 Marine police during Ops Taring Pensura at about 4pm at Batang Rajang.
"During the operation, marine policemen detained and investigated a suspicious cargo vessel at Batang Rajang. They discovered that the vessel was carrying 200,000 litres of illegal diesel worth RM1,430,000," he said.

"The case has been referred to the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry for further action," he said.
