Trapped driver rescued after road accident on MRR2


KUALA LUMPUR: The Fire and Rescue Department was called in to rescue a trapped motorist following a two-vehicle collision along the Middle Ring Road 2.

Operations Commander Mohd Fakhrusy Syakirin Mamat said they received a distress call about the accident at 12.32pm on Monday (April 10).

"Two fire engines and an emergency medical rescue services vehicle were dispatched to the scene with 15 personnel members.

"They arrived at the scene and found that a Perodua Myvi and lorry had been involved in an accident and the driver of the car was pinned in the vehicle," he said in a statement on Monday.

He added that they managed to remove the driver from the vehicle at 1.11pm.

"The victim suffered a broken left hand and was taken to the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre for further treatment," he said.
