Former Perlis MB to be charged with corruption on April 10

PETALING JAYA: A former mentri besar of Perlis will be charged with graft in the Kangar Sessions Court in Perlis on Monday (April 10).

A check on the e-kehakiman website showed that Datuk Seri Azlan Man was named as the accused to be charged before judge Norsalha Hamzah at 9am.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) also sent a notice to the media about the upcoming charge against a former mentri besar.

According to Utusan Malaysia, he was expected to be charged under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.

The 56-year-old former Perlis Umno chief was Pauh assemblyman from 2013 to 2018, before winning the Bintong state seat in 2018.

He failed to retain the seat in the 15th General Election last year. He was Perlis' ninth mentri besar from 2013 to 2022.
