Veterinary clinic in Penampang damaged in fire


KOTA KINABALU: A veterinary clinic in Penampang suffered damage from a fire on Thursday night (April 6).

The Fire and Rescue Department received a report at 9.06pm, alerting the blaze at Millennium Plaza.

“The fire was put out by the public before the team arrived and the premises was 20% burnt but no casualties were recorded.

“The team conducted inspections to address any risks and the operation ended at 9.50pm,” said a department spokesman.

Authorities are also checking the close-circuit television (CCTV) recording to determine the cause of fire as witnesses claimed seeing someone near the vicinity right before the fire broke out.
