Perak civil servants to get RM700 'duit Raya'


IPOH: In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri, civil servants in Perak will receive RM700 in special aid.

Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said the allocation would be given to all 7,892 personnel in the state.

"The allowances will be given to all civil servants regardless of their grades. This includes both those under off-contract and for services.

"The total allocation for these civil servants accumulated to RM5.63mil," he said during a press conference held at Stadium Indera Mulia, here on Thursday (April 6).

Saarani said former state assemblymen will also receive similar incentives.

"Former assemblymen will receive RM500 aid," he said.

Separately, a total of 492 civil retirees in received a special incentive from the state government.

"Sijil Simpan Premium (SSP) worth RM4,400 has been awarded to each of these retirees who have served for more than 15 years.

"This is a token of appreciation from the state government for all their hard work and providing great service to the public," he said.
