Social media users dump jokes on S'gor's new 'BRK' plates

PETALING JAYA: Selangor's new vehicle registration series which comes into effect on Tuesday (April 4) is becoming the butt of many jokes on social media.

The new number plate, which carries the alphabet "BRK" resonates with a Malay word that means emptying one's bowels.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) stated on social media that bidding for the BRK number plate series will start on Wednesday at its website https://jpjebid.jpj.gov.my, with successful bids to be announced on April 10.

The numbers not bid on will then be made available to the general public.

The JPJ's Facebook timeline has been inundated with many rib-tickling comments.
