Traffic cop injured in suspected hit-and-run in Petaling Jaya


PETALING JAYA: A policeman was injured in a suspected hit-and-run here.

In a statement on Monday (April 3), Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that the policeman was hit by a car near Mentari Court today at 4.19pm.

"Investigations showed that the driver of the Proton Saga had collided with the motorcycle used by the victim. At this moment efforts are underway to track down the driver of the car," he said.

The victim, who is a traffic policeman at Kuala Lumpur, was on his way to work at the time of the incident.

He is currently in a stable condition and receiving treatment at Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
