It’s like a licence to vape, says Umno Youth chief

PETALING JAYA: The move to remove liquid or gel containing nicotine from the Poisons Act 1952 should be withdrawn until Parliament has approved the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Bill 2023, says Umno Youth’s chief.

Removing vape liquids from the Poisons Act for taxation is neither reasonable nor wise due to the long-term health implications, said Dr Akmal Saleh.
