Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Hari Raya Puasa marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

It celebrates the end of fasting for Muslims as families and friends gather to partake in festivities.

Many traditions are observed during the special occasion.

Not surprisingly, food is a big part of the celebration in Malaysia, and there are many must have traditional treats.

In the next few weeks, Sunday Star will showcase some of the traditional Hari Raya delicacies. This week we feature lemang.
