Eight armed robbers beat up victim, escape with over 3.5kg jewellery, RM5,000 cash


SERDANG: Eight armed robbers broke into a house in Taman Bukit Kinrara, Puchong and escaped with cash and jewellery worth more than RM5,000.

Serdang OCPD Asst Com AA Anbalagan said the victim, a 24-year-old man, was standing in front of his house compound at 4.10am on Saturday (April 1) when eight masked men armed with machetes approached him.

"One punched his face several times and forced the victim to tell them where he kept his money.

"They forced their way into the house and ordered the victim's mother to hand over her jewellery," he said in a statement on Saturday (April 1).

The suspects also ransacked every room in the house before escaping, he said.

"The suspects escaped with about 3.5kg of jewellery and about RM5,000 cash.

"We urge those with information to contact the police as soon as possible," he said.
