Cops on the hunt for man who slashed two victims in Cheras

KUALA LUMPUR: The police are tracking down a man who is suspected of slashing two men in Cheras.

Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin said the 45-year-old suspect had got into a fight with the two men aged 22 and 23, for disturbing his wife on Friday (March 31).

"The incident occurred at Jalan Mutiara Raya, Cheras.

"Once police were alerted, personnel from the crime prevention patrol rushed to the scene and discovered two victims were injured after being slashed," he said when contacted on Saturday (April 1).

ACP Zam Halim said further investigation led to the arrest of a 39-year-old woman Taman Seri Aman in Cheras.

"She was detained as we believe she might be in cahoots with the main suspect. She was also at the crime scene when the incident occurred. We urge the public not to speculate on the incident," he added.

ACP Zam Halim also urged those with information to contact the KL police hotline at 03-2115 9999 or Cheras police hotline at 03-9284 5050/5051 or any nearest police station.
