AMPANG: A 32-year-old foreigner was detained for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old girl at her home in Jalan Kampung Fajar here.
“He held the victim by both wrists before hugging her. He then gave her RM50,” said Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak.
He said the suspect, who works as a newspaper seller, was believed to have followed the girl home.
The incident allegedly occurred in December, he said, adding that the suspect was detained at Jalan Air Jernih in Setapak at about 5.20pm on Saturday.
In a statement yesterday, he said the suspect had been remanded until April 1.
