‘Datuk Roy’ remanded once again

PUTRAJAYA: “Datuk Roy” has been remanded again in connection to an investigation linked to the Jana Wibawa scandal.

This time, the Magistrate’s Court here granted a four-day remand beginning yesterday until March 20.

On Thursday, Mohd Hussein was released on bail after a three-day remand granted by the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate’s Court under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009 in connection to the Jana Wibawa scandal.

This is following his surrender at the Kuala Lumpur MACC office at 2.30pm on Monday.

Earlier on March 9, the MACC arrested four people aged between 40 and 50 – including an MACC officer and a woman.

They were alleged to have solicited and accepted a bribe totalling RM400,000 to prevent an investigation into the case.

Jana Wibawa is a government programme which aimed to help bumiputra contractors during the Covid-19 pandemic.
