Cops probing parked car incident that blocked Ipoh road

IPOH: The police are investigating an incident whereby a parked car had blocked a road here, says Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan.

The Ipoh OCPD said the police came across a picture that was posted on Twitter by a user with the handle @Tfsgxy_ on Monday (March 6), which allegedly showed the car having double-parked on the road, causing congestion.

The photo also allegedly showed a police vest on the car dashboard.

"The post had gotten the attention of the general public. The incident is believed to have occurred at Persiaran Brash near the Sultan Abdul Aziz Recreational Park," he said in a statement.

"The police are trying to find the individual who took the picture to assist in identifying the owner of the car.

"We call on the person to contact district traffic enforcement and investigation unit chief Deputy Supt Koo Boon Kuat at 016-417 3222 to help with the investigation," he said.

"The police would also like to advise the people to refrain from speculating on the matter, which could jeopardise the investigation or tarnish the reputation of the police," he added.

A check found that the tweet has since been deleted.
