‘The planned children’s development dept should be independent and not under JKM’


PETALING JAYA: The planned children’s development department by the government should remain a separate entity and not be placed under the already-burdened Welfare Department (JKM), children’s activists say.

Consultant paediatrician and child rights advocate Datuk Dr Amar-Singh HSS said a proper Children’s Department should have a rights-based approach and a wider scope to cover critical areas.
