Seberang Prai councillor front-runner for Penang senatorship, say sources


GEORGE TOWN: Seberang Prai councillor P. David Marshel, a close confidante of Penang Deputy Chief Minister ll Dr P. Ramasamy, is the front-runner for one of the state's two senator posts.

Sources confirmed that the Penang DAP committee, which met a few days ago, had proposed his name and several others, including fellow councillors Harvindar Singh and R. Kaliyappan, for a senatorship.
