Johor plans to add floating jetties at areas at risk of floods, high tides


SEGAMAT: The state government plans to add floating jetties in selected locations in the state, especially those at risk of floods and high tide phenomenon to help inland fishermen, as well as to reduce damage to permanent jetties.

State Agriculture, Agro-based Industry and Rural Development Committee chairman Datuk Zahari Sarip said his office along with the State Fisheries Department and the local fishermen's associations were identifying the locations for the floating jetties.
