King congratulates Anwar on appointment as 10th PM, expresses appreciation to Ismail Sabri for contributions


KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah extends congratulations to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on his appointment as Malaysia's 10th prime minister.

In His Majesty's speech at the official opening of the first meeting of the second session of the 15th Parliament here today, the King also congratulated the Cabinet ministers of the Unity government on their appointments.

Al-Sultan Abdullah, in his speech, also expressed his appreciation to Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob for his contributions while helming the country as its 9th prime minister.
