Selangor Raja Muda attends reception hosted by UK's King Charles III

KLANG: The Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah attended a reception hosted by British monarch King Charles III recently.

Tengku Amir Shah attended the event in his capacity as the royal patron of the Selangor Youth Community (SAY).

Held at Buckingham Palace in London, the reception was also attended by representatives of various organisations covering charities, the arts, media, healthcare and businesses from the south-east Asian region.

According to the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page, Tengku Amir Shah and King Charles III have been in collaboration for the last three years on efforts to help more than 100 high risk youths to achieve success through job opportunities and education.

The cooperation was made possible through the collaboration between SAY and the Prince’s Trust International (PTI), it added.

The event was hosted by King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla to commemorate the British east and south-east Asian communities.

The King’s siblings Princess Anne and Prince Edward were also at the event, which was attended by about 300 people.
