All lies, Fahmi says of claim that he ordered RTM news blackout on Perikatan MBs

KUALA LUMPUR: Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil denies ordering Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) to black out any positive news on three Perikatan Nasional Mentris Besar.

Fahmi said the claim, made in a viral message on Saturday (Jan 28), was libel.

"I will take action against those spreading this libel," Fahmi, who is also PKR information chief, said in a tweet.

The message claimed that the order was in response to criticism of the minister by Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

The writer claimed that journalists were allowed to cover events involving the Mentris Besar of Kelantan, Kedah and Terengganu but the reports were not aired.
